There are a lot of devices that we are using to make our life a lot easier and one of them is the wireless remote light switch. However at some point you will find out that the price for repairing that device is really high and for that reason, I would like to share some information about how to do this on your own.
First, I would like to mention all the tools that you will need for that purpose and they are as follows replacement wireless remote light switch, screwdriver, wide cutter, tape and current tester. Here are some of the steps that you will need to take:
- First you will need to find out where is the problem with your current wireless remote light switch. For that reason you should use the current tester to see if everything is fine.
- If you find out that your current wireless remote light switch is not working properly it is time to replace it. For those purposes first unscrew the receiver from the place where you had mounted it, but make sure that you had turned off the electricity.
- After that cut all the wires that are connecting the old wireless remote light switch, you should mount the new one.
- If you notice that there are some wires that are not properly isolated use the duck tape. This is one of the most important things that you should do.
- After you had prepared all the wiring, it is time to mount the new wireless remote light switch. With most of those devices, you will get proper manual, so make sure that you will follow it. Make sure that all the wires are connected properly, because otherwise there is a chance that you will damage it when you turn on the electricity.
